Lake in the mountains...

I have been missing water a lot lately...  Recently, I have heard more and more about a place called Grand Lake.  Many people love to go there, and now I know why.  We drove up to Grand Lake this past weekend, early in the morning.  We had such a fun and great day out on the water...a first time for the kiddies on a boat.  Although the lake wasn't as big as I had hoped (or as warm :) ) it was just as beautiful.  I don't think either Cecil and I have heard Sophia giggle as much as she did...all of the bumps were so funny as well as the 'boogies!' (aka buoys)... 

A fun and bumpy boat ride, mexican food for lunch, ice cream and chocolate covered fruit...what more could we ask for?

Oh!  I know, we had the most spectacular drive home through Rocky Mountain National Forest.  Beautiful...I had no idea.  Many people go camping with their kids and say it is a blast.  Not sure we I am ready for that yet...

The day was packed full, we had tons of fun doing something new and getting 'out' of the city and Sophia and Henry did GREAT in the car.
