An innocent trip to REI to look at new bikes ended up with a trolley ride around...where exactly I don't know...Cherry Creek bike path? Invesco Field? Elitch Garden's? Highway 25? Anyhoo, it was loads of fun!!!

A moment...
Having a special moment this morning...
On yet another cloudy and rainy day I decided to take the kids to Monkey Business right when the doors opened so we could beat the crowds.
It isn't very crowded...they are having so much fun running around together.
I love hearing them giggle...I love hearing Sophia call out for her friend and her brother...I love seeing Henry help Sophia up and I love seeing Sophia help Henry...I love seeing them have so much fun together.
I love seeing them love each other just as we, their parents, could only hope for...

Last days of school...
I can hardly believe that the school year is over...it was a great year for both Sophia and Henry. Summer is here! That is always a little scary to be honest but I know it will be fun...the scary part is keeping them entertained for the next 15 to 16 weeks? Yikes!!

A true artist I am...
Tonight I went out for a girl's night...we are saying goodbye to our dear friend Jennifer Pavlina, Ella's mommy. They are moving back to San Fransisco...as much as we are so happy for their family, we are just as sad to see them go...

Lucky to be a mom...
Happy Mother's Day!
I am very thankful to be a mom...and a mom of such wonderful (and crazy!) kiddies.
We started the day with Dad and Henry making some amazing pancakes (recipe from GP's new cookbook...yum!), bacon, sausage and strawberries. It was delicious. Off to the park and just a lot of playing today. We ended the day with a great steak dinner. The weather was absolutely gorgeous...sunny and 80!

We made it to the number 3!
Today was one of those seemingly rare days where we didn't have much going on. We always love to go out to the number 3 (as Sophia likes to say!) so today, we did. Sophia was so excited to go to the number 3... We pulled into the parking lot and Henry said, 'we made it!' Thankfully we did Henry!
I set aside my diet for a much loved trip to the Fila'. Following lunch, we made a trip to the office. The first highlight was that they each received one piece of leftover Easter candy. Who can beat that? ;) The second highlight (other than having lunch with Dad of course) was drawing on the GIANT white board? Doesn't everyone need a big board in their life?

A day for Henry to remember...
We were sad to see Heidi leave on Saturday...
Friday was my birthday so after Heidi left on Saturday I indulged in a 90 minute massage...pure heaven!
Sunday was a new day. Heidi sometimes thinks that I don't take her wisdom-ly advice...but i do! She knows that I tire of the potty training talk (and I do) but I do listen, I just don't like expectations :)
Henry woke up from his nap on Sunday (after a good 2 1/2 hour nap) with a dry diaper so I thought, why not whisk him away to the potty, and Henry went pee! Way to go Henry, he was quite proud. Heidi promised Henry a toy if he peed, she would get him a truck. Because Heidi had left, I took him to the store and he picked out his very own skid steer. A proud moment for the little man...
Then we rounded out the day with a trip out to dinner... On our way out to the parking lot, I noticed some policemen getting into their patrol car so I took Henry over to say hello. He was a bit shocked about the experience but it was fun! Hopefully that will be Henry's last time in a squad car...Henry...are you listening?
